Ohana festival vol.8 took place on 10/29 in front of the Hitohaku Collectionarium. Its aim was to raise funds for Mikaduki, an organization providing help for children with learning difficulties. This year's theme was Diversity & Inclusion. Booths were hosted by members of the Ohana group, associations and Hitohaku researchers. Most of them were aimed at children, but there were plenty for adults too!
At the Labo party stand, children could listen to the reading of children's books in several languages: for example, a book about fruit and vegetables and The very hungry caterpillar story. Afterwards, they could create a cute caterpillar bookmark with their name on it!
The Happy homing stand featured personality tests to help visitors better understand themselves and others thanks to color psychology. Very intriguing!
At the Haru no aze stand, participants could try their hand at calligraphy. They could then take home their decorated calendars for the year 2024. Creations as beautiful as practical!
The Wheelog Sanda stand offered visitors the chance to explore the surrounding area in a wheelchair, to gain an insight into the daily lives of wheelchair users. Many people tried it out! A very useful workshop, particularly for encouraging infrastructure adaptation.
The Miracle Wish stand was dedicated to disaster prevention. Volunteers learned how to make shoes out of newspaper to keep out the cold. It was also possible to create your own emergency kit in the event of an earthquake. Useful and necessary!
Children could create earrings at the Colorful Kita-Kobe booth. They had to glue rhinestones onto a colored base and add nail polish to bring it all together. They could also create colorful slimes. Adorable!
The Heart Pocket stand was dedicated to raising awareness of intellectual development disorders. There were simulation activities, such as making origami with gloves, to help participants understand the difficulties people with developmental disabilities face. The simulation was effective!
At the Ohana pukapuka stand people could place flowers in bowls filled with water. Everyone could then admire the floating flowers! It was a very colorful and contemplative place.
At the Fossil quiz in shape stand, children had to touch fossils hidden in a box to guess their identity. A great introduction to paleontology!
The Botanical Herbarium booth displayed endangered species from Hyogo. The plants were preserved in flasks with silicone gel! They were very beautiful. It was a great way to raise awareness of nature preservation!
The Coffee Roast Experience stand was a big hit with the adults. Participants had to sort green beans, roast them in a pan, grind them and then make their own coffee! Museum researchers also gave presentations on the impact of coffee cultivation and the challenges for the future.
Finally, visitors could have fun by playing Mölkky, a bowling game, at the booth held by Sanda Mölkky association. They could also make chalk drawings in the parking lot. All were very pretty: many future artists!
Despite the wind, it was a pleasant sunny day for everyone. Let's hope the collaboration between Ohana and Hitohaku continues!

10/29（日）、親子チャリティイベントOhanaフェスvol.8が開催されました。
このイベントは、「ダイバーシティ＆インクルージョン（D&I）」というテーマがあり、次世代を担う地域市民と博物館が、これまでの活動を「D&I」の観点から見直し、訪れた方の「D&I」への興味・関心のきっかけを創出したいという思いが込められています。
そのテーマのもと、様々な団体がブースを持ち、それぞれの特徴を活かしたコンテンツを提供していました。
今回は、いくつかのブースをピックアップして紹介します。
1つ目は、はぁ～とポケットさんによる知的障害や発達障害の疑似体験ができるブースを紹介します。
知的障害や発達障害の方が、普段の生活でどの部分に障壁を感じているのかを実際に体験できるもので、ナイロン手袋と軍手をはめて、「早く折って」「端と端がそろってない」など少し不快に感じる声かけを受けながら折り紙を折る体験などができました。
はぁ～とポケットの方は、「この体験を通じて、知的障害や発達障害をもった人にとっても生活しやすい社会にするために、周囲の人は分かりやすく、1つ1つ丁寧に、優しく説明することを心がけることを知ってほしい。」と話していました。
2つ目は、カラフル北神戸さんによるキッズイヤリング作りのブースを紹介します。
このブースでは、カラフルなビーズの上にイチゴや花の飾りをつけてイヤリングを作成しました。
カラフル北神戸さんは、「ママ、パパ、子ども、高齢者」を対象につながり合える機会を作ることを目標としている団体で、このブースにも親子の方が楽しく会話しながらイヤリングやスライムを作成している様子を見ることができました。
3つ目は、にしむら珈琲さんとひとはくが共催したコーヒー焙煎体験を紹介します。
今回の焙煎体験では、エチオピアのコーヒー豆を使用し、フライパンやガスコンロなど家庭にもよくある調理器具を用いて焙煎を行いました。
はじめは緑がかった色をしていた生豆が、焙煎していくにつれて色がどんどん茶色く変化し、パチパチと音が鳴る様子やにおいの変化も感じ取れ、五感をすべて使った体験をすることができました。
また、焙煎後には、エチオピアのコーヒー農家の現状や抱えていた問題、またコーヒーを取り巻く生態系についても学び、普段何気なく飲んでいるコーヒーのバックグラウンドを知ることができました。
他にも、Ohanaフェスには、三田市モルック協会さんやミラクルウィッシュさん、Wheelogさんださん、はるのあぜさん、happyhomingさん、ラボ・パーティさんによるブースもありました。
どのブースもそれぞれの団体の思いが詰まったものばかりで、参加者にとってとても学びあり楽しさありの有意義な時間を過ごせたのではないかと思います。
今後の生活に生きる学びを得られた一日となりました。
